July 30, 2000 - Biała Podl.-Woskrzenice-Kostomłoty-Kodeń-Jabłeczna-Włodawa-Lublin

Little wooden church in Woskrzenice n/Biała Podlaska - Fr. Feliks Wajszczuk (son of Franciszek) worked here prior to WWII as a parish priest.

A rainy Sunday brought us to Kostomłoty - the site of the only Unite Parish in Poland, where we participated in the traditional services of Bizantine liturgy.

Father Archimandrite Roman Pietka - pastor of the Kostomloty parish in traditional liturgical vestments.

Relics of the Blessed Unites - Martyrs from Pratulin (in the Parish church).

After the Holy Mass, Father Archim. Roman Pietka treated us with dinner in the parish house - presbytery.

Basilica Minor in Kodeń.

In Kodeń we bowed our heads in front of the Image of the Madonna of Podlasie- Our Lady of Koden.

Also in Kodeń - in spite of cool and rainy weather - we walked to the Calvary (on the site of an ancient castle of the Prince Sapieha Family). This Calvary incorporates unique wooden sculptures of the Stations of the Cross.

Brother Jaroslaw from the Congregation of the Oblate Missionaries familiarized us with the history, monuments and relics of Kodeń.

One more Sanctuary - this time Russian Orthodox - St. Onufry's in Jabłeczna.
