entered mistakenly in the (Russian language) marriage records on February 9,
1909 in the Parish Books in Zbuczyn. The same name version appears also on
occasion in some records of other members of this family - as indicated above
in parentheses.
3) Excerpt from a letter from Wlodzimierz
Biegunski dated December 22, 2005: "Incidentally - the social status of a
blacksmith, or of other craftsmen, was entirely different and incomensurably
higher than at present. Towards the end of the 19th century, social status of
a railroad engine-driver (engineer) corresponded to the social status enjoyed
today by a pilot of a pasenger aircraft flying international routes.
4) Son of Stanisław and Adolfina 1509 made Wajszczuk(!),
was killed in 1944 r.
